Welcome to the 2023-24 year!

Riverview Nursery School is proud to offer a preschool experience that sets a solid foundation for learning success.

We encourage self-esteem, impart an early passion for learning and promote a positive social and nurturing environment.

Our Mission Statement

At Riverview Nursery School, we aim to provide a preschool experience that provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all our children.

We intend for every child to be valued and recognized for who they are. We foster independence, self-reliance, and self-worth. We seek to encourage children to become compassionate and empathetic with everyone they meet in their day in class, during their years at Riverview, and beyond. We recognize the importance of every child's ability to communicate with peers and adults and provide the tools to express themselves confidently.

We value our relationship with parents and caregivers. We aim to develop positive and supportive relationships that are long-lasting.

Our ultimate goal is for every child to use their Riverview experience as a stepping stone to lifelong learning success and happiness.

Our Vision

Through a nurturing approach, children at Riverview develop their early learning skills, establish early friendships with their peers, and develop positive relationships with all the adults they work with.

Children are given opportunities to be creative with art, experience music and movement, develop pre-reading and pre-math skills, explore science concepts, and foster communication and social skills. Opportunities for sensory activities alongside gross and fine motor activities are also used as part of the child’s hands-on learning experience. We give children opportunities for independent thinking to allow for freedom of thought and to express themselves through play, creative activities, and discussions.

We set a clear and child-centered routine that allows all our children to participate in their learning experience. We model positive behavior, encouraging children to engage appropriately with their peers, their learning environment, and all adults in school.

As children journey through Riverview, our committed teachers build on previous years' work and aim for children to continue growing and learning to achieve their full potential.

Riverview Nursery School is a private, non-profit nursery school. The school was created as a community outreach by Living Christ Church in 1991, providing a quality early childhood program.  While we have a Christian foundation to our program, we celebrate each child and their unique growth and development in a loving and nurturing environment.
