With sunshine-filled classrooms, sweeping views of the Hudson River, and stimulating play spaces both indoors and outdoors… Riverview Nursery School has a stunning setting for our families to enjoy.

Collectively we create a safe and nurturing environment where our teachers impart a love for learning and friendship.

OUR SUNNY CLASSROOMS

Located inside Living Christ Church in South Nyack, NY since 1991, Riverview Nursery School has 5 bright, sparkling clean classrooms that accommodate our half-day and full-day programs. Each classroom is well-appointed with developmentally appropriate learning centers that support our teaching philosophy.  We provide an environment where learning involves all the senses. Through play, children practice and master new skills, gain confidence, and continue the joyful discovery of learning. Our school library offers our teachers endless resources of children's literature to support the theme-related curriculum and daily circle time activities. Other educational manipulative and learning games further support our educational goals and are rotated in and out of the classrooms to keep children engaged.

  • Alphabet Circle Time Rug

  • Arts Table & Painting Easel

  • Manipulative Table

  • Books in Reading Corner

  • Kitchen  Area and Dramatic Play (Dress-up)

  • Wooden Building Blocks

  • Water and Sand Table

INDOOR AND OUTDOOR PLAYSPACES

Our indoor Big Room offers opportunities to develop motor skills while riding bikes and scooters, run, develop throwing and catching skills and play basketball, climb on cube structure.   Running, jumping, crawling, climbing, etc. help strengthen the core muscles and increase large muscle control.  We also have our very own Climbing Wall the 3’s and 4’s classes enjoy exploring. On a rainy day or when too cold to go outdoors, the Big Room is a delightful place to play.

Our outdoor Playground features two climbing structures, a wooden boat, a sandbox, and our new beautiful wooden cabin. This area is such a treat for our children, a safe, enclosed area where friends can enjoy fresh air and the freedom of the great outdoors whilst in a safe, enclosed area.
